Polyether Imide (PEI) ULTEM 1000 is an amorphous, amber to transparent thermoplastic with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217 °C and performance in continuous use up to 170 °C. ULTEM 1000, which is inherently flame retardant, has a UL94 V0 rating.
MICROZEY PEI Ultem 1000 filament has unique properties as it does not come into contact with water during the production process and is packaged directly in a vacuum package. These features make MICROZEY PEI Ultem 1000 filament particularly suitable for use in FDM and FFF 3D printers. The material has excellent adhesion between layers, resulting in great improvement in impact resistance, strength, durability and printing process.
For best results when printing, we recommend keeping the 3D printer in a room with almost no airflow and/or temperature fluctuations. Keep the 3D printer out of the sun. The room where people sleep is also not a good option.
After the printing process, we recommend storing the MICROZEY PEI Ultem 1000 filament in a bag in a cool, dry and dark place until the next use.
Features
High temperature resistance: ULTEM exhibits excellent performance in the temperature range of 170-180°C (338-356°F) for long-term use. It can withstand temperatures of 200°C (392°F) or even higher for short periods.
Excellent mechanical properties: ULTEM; It has superior mechanical properties such as high strength, hardness and impact resistance. Thanks to these properties, the material is resistant to mechanical stresses such as abrasion, bending or breaking.
Chemical resistance: ULTEM is resistant to many chemicals. It resists corrosive substances such as acids, bases, oils, fuels and industrial chemicals. This feature provides reliability in applications where there is chemical exposure.
High electrical performance:ULTEM has superior electrical properties such as high dielectric strength and low electrical losses. Therefore, it is suitable for the manufacture of insulating parts in the electrical and electronics industry.
Fire resistance: ULTEM is rated V-0 in the UL 94 fire resistance classification. This ensures that the material does not catch fire and is self-extinguishing. This feature provides a great advantage in terms of safety in applications with fire risk.
Low density: ULTEM has a low density and is a lightweight material. This feature makes it more attractive to use in applications where the weight factor is important.
Suitability for sterilization: ULTEM is resistant to sterilization methods such as autoclave sterilization under high temperature and pressure.
Because it is a pressure resistant material, ULTEM is used in a variety of applications in many industrial sectors. Here are some of the usage areas of ULTEM:
Automotive industry
Aerospace industry
Electrical and electronics industry
Medical industry
Industrial equipment
